On Friday September 26th, our school went on its first field trip of the year. Staff and students were blessed with a beautiful day at the Canadian Martyrs’ Shrine in Midland. As a school we were able to celebrate our first mass together and receive a special blessing with the relics of the Canadian martyrs. The visit and the homily called us to reflect on our duty as Christians and the participation in the carrying of our own cross in our daily life.
The trip was a wonderful way to begin our school excursions as we participated in mass and prayer together as a school. All enjoyed eating our lunch outdoors, taking advantage of the beautiful days we have been having. We are all thankful for the experience we were able to share with our students and are looking forward to more opportunities like this.
