Guiding Light Academy is proud to present its Readathon Week! This is a week where activities and projects are scheduled with the aim of children developing a love and interest for reading! Students worked hard in completing their motivational reading posters and were eager to begin the week’s activities. Students began by playing Mad Libs, a fun way to create humorous stories alongside a friend. As a team, students participated in a crossword scavenger hunt which reviewed the different elements of a story in preparation for their own story-telling that will take place over the next few days. Finally, students got to wind down and read in a tent as they participated in our Reading Campout. The idea is to promote to the students that they can read anytime anywhere and are welcome to get comfortable to do so! We are excited to see what the rest of the week will bring!
